Chelsea to sacrifice £40m star in order to sign 24-year-old Spaniard

Friday, September 14, 2018

Chelsea is reportedly hopeful that their loan agreement with AC Milan for Tiemoue Bakayoko will help the Premier League giants secure a deal for Suso.

Bakayoko joined Milan on a season-long loan during the summer transfer window, having struggled to settle at Stamford Bridge following a move from Monaco in 2017.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is keen on bringing Suso to England and will look to use Bakayoko in a bid to secure the attacker’s services next summer.

Suso, who represented Liverpool between 2010 and 2015 before leaving for Milan, scored eight times in 50 appearances for his Italian club during the 2017-18 campaign.

The 24-year-old made 14 Premier League appearances during his time at Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a move for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and would be available on a free transfer next summer – or potentially for a cut-price in January – if no new deal is agreed with the club.

Arsenal has offered the Wales international fresh terms, but Ramsey is yet to put pen to paper and the Gunners are reportedly growing more concerned that he could leave.

The Mirror reports that Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United are keeping tabs on the situation with one eye on a potential swoop for the 27-year-old.
