Chelsea agree on €80m fee for the transfer of mega in-demand star

Surprising reports from Spain claim that Chelsea has offered Brazilian winger Willian to European champions Real Madrid. The pacy forward was linked away from the club all summer after a public fallout with former Blues boss Antonio Conte.

Barcelona reportedly had two bids within the region of £55 million rejected by Chelsea before settling for Bordeaux winger Malcolm and United were also monitoring the player.

However, news reports from Mundo Deportivo claim that the Stamford Bridge outfit are ready to listen to offers of around €80 million for the striker.

Real Madrid has been in the market for a Marquee signing since the exit of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus this summer. Chelsea teammate Eden Hazard had been linked to the Spanish giants but looks set to stay amid contract talks.

Willian has so far been a mainstay under Maurizio Sarri starting the opening two matches against Huddersfield and Arsenal. This suggests that Maurizio Sarri thinks highly of the winger and he seems to revel in the admiration. According to a recent interview in the aftermath of the community shield defeat to Manchester City Willian revealed his wish to remain at the club this season.

“We never know, but I have been always clear about my wish of staying here. My head is here at the Chelsea, but we never know about tomorrow. I hope to remain at the club.

“I have always been clear about enjoying playing for Chelsea, I have never (said) that I wanted to leave the club,

The 30-year-old forward moved to Chelsea from Anzhi Machakala in 2013 and has won two league titles during his time in London.
