Spanish and Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata agreed to join Seria A side AC Milan but the deal fell through following the change of ownership at the club, as claimed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Morata joined Chelsea in a record £60million deal in the summer of 2017 but he failed to justify his price tag and he drew heavy criticism from the pundits and the fans of the club. He scored only 11 goals in the Premier League last term most of which came in the first half of the season.

The Spanish striker fueled speculation over his future when he traveled to Italy in the summer. He was spotted with a member of the board of AC Milan and it was heavily claimed he would end up lacing his boots for the side.And now, Romano has claimed that Morata had agreed to switch Stamford Bridge for the San Siro but the change of ownership at AC Milan made the deal fell through, per the Express SPort.

Chelsea signed on Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window and the French striker ended the season as the first choice for Antonio Conte. However, Morata seems to be the preferred choice for Sarri this term but the striker has found the back of the net only once in four league games.
