United may already have their luck turned over poaching long-term target Welshman, Gareth Bale

Since joining Real Madrid for a World-record fee back in 2013, and making a household name for himself at the Madrid outfit, the Red Devils had tried endlessly to lure him back to England.

Not until last campaign did the 29-year-old give the Mancunians the green light that he was ready to quit playing football in the La Liga for the Whites.

United’s bigwig Ed Woodward is a huge admirer of the Welshman and must have been thrilled with his statements after scoring a brace that won them the Champions League silverware against Liverpool, last month in Kiev, Ukraine. It would be their 13th, the most for any other club.

It is understood Bale wasn’t playing week in and week out under former manager Zinedine Zidane and he was displeased with the situation, leading him to hint on his future at Santiago Bernabeu.

Which means United will find another alternative. But they won’t look too far as they already have 18-year-old Tahiti Chong, who joined the club from Feyenoord, two years ago.

Chong impressive form last season for the club’s U-23 and U-18 sides has spotlighted him as the perfect Gareth Bale alternative.

United lack a winger and Chong has the resilient qualities of not just a winger but one who will make a statement once gifted his first debut.
