As per reports, Chelsea looks “very close” to completing the signing of Gonzalo Higuain who looks set to leave Juventus this summer following the club’s signing of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
MORE:
Higuian, along with the likes of Daniele Rugani and Alex Sandro are one of the players available for transfer at the Turin club this summer as the club are looking to raise transfer funds for new signings, and Chelsea have been linked with the striker, which could be Maurizio Sarri’s second signing as manager of the Stamford Bridge club.
Higuain enjoyed the best season of his career under the Blues new head-coach where he scored 38 goals in 42 appearances during the 2015/16 Serie A season. He also won the Capocannoniere title that saw him smashed Serie A’s standing 87-year-old record for the most goals scored in a single season.
With the signing of Ronaldo, the Argentine game time is surely going to reduce as the former will likely be leading the attack for the Serie A club and Higuain would want to reunite with his former boss.
MORE:
Talks about him joining Chelsea have reportedly been held and Juventus appear to have agreed £53million (€60m) for the transfer of the striker.
Italian news outlet Tuttosport, revealed talks have been agreed with Juventus over the signing of Higuain his announcement could be as soon as Wednesday (Today).
