Exclusive – €50million player has told club he wants Arsenal move

Monday, June 4, 2018

Arsenal Football Club finished 6th in the Barclays Premier League last season and conceded no fewer than 51 goals.

New boss, Unai Emery, surely needs to strengthen his back line this summer and the Gunners are interested in French international and Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard.

A few days back, renowned French source L’Equipe claimed that Arsenal and Dortmund have made inquiries to sign the Les Bleus player, who is valued at €50million by the Bundesliga side.

As per the latest information gathered by Calcio Insider via a source close to Pavard, the 22-year-old defender wants to sign for Arsenal.

The source has confirmed that the young defender is aware of the clubs interested in him and he has told Stuttgart that his dream is to play in the Premier League and he wants Arsenal to move instead of moving to another Bundesliga club i.e. Dortmund.

This is a strange choice in a way because Dortmund will be playing Champions League football next season while Arsenal will be playing in the Europa League. Perhaps, the north Londoners can put forward a better pay package than BvB.

Pavard is naturally a right back but in the last campaign, Stuttgart mainly used him in the central defense. The German club finished 7th in the table and the Les Bleus defender was impressive for them. In 34 league appearances, he provided 1 assist.

So far, he has made 4 appearances for the senior national team. Not to forget, Pavard made it into the squad that will be going to the World Cup under the management of Deschamps.
